Thoughts About Moving

Things I will miss about Charlotte:
-LISA and MEGAN!!!
-Being a weekend visit away from Dad & Janie, and Jim, Rachel, Madison, & Ethan
-Being able to walk to visit Mike at work
-The friends we've made
-The eastern scenery
-The free trolley
-Fuel Pizza
-Downtown Target
-Being out here on our own establishing family traditions
-The benefits of living in corporate housing

Things I will not miss about Charlotte:
-The construction next door, right outside our windows...Sunday through Saturday, 7:00am-7:00pm
-Scary Walmart (this is not a knock against Walmart...I LOVE Walmart and shop there regularly--but there is a Walmart here that we've nicknamed 'scary' Walmart)
-Panhandlers who walk right up to the car and try to get me to roll down the window

Good things about moving to Texas:
-We will be really close to Phil, Viki, Jared, Krista, Jacob, and Emma
-We will be close to Mom, Eddy, and AJ
-We will be kind of close to Adam, Jen, Lynn, Serge, and Blake
-We will be closer-ish to Scott, Jeanie, and John
-We will be a lot closer to many, many of our friends
-Central Market and H-E-B
-Super Target
-An abundance of children's resale shops
-Crazy thunderstorms that turn the sky green
-Stonebriar shopping center
-Six Flags theme parks
-Better chance of getting to see an Astros game
-It is unlikely that I will cook a Sunday dinner for a very long time :)
-Really great Mexican restaurants
-No state taxes
-We will get our stuff out of storage! We haven't seen our stuff since January 2007--it'll be like Christmas in March.

Not so good things about moving to Texas:
-The crazy HOT weather
-Traffic
-Dallas specific--lack of colors and beauty
