Independence Day Weekend

After 2 fun-filled weeks with my sister Lisa here we drove down to the Houston area to visit more family for the 4th of July weekend. We started by visiting my mom in Cameron for a day. Then we went to The Woodlands to see Mike's mom and to Spring to see Adam and Jennifer (my brother and sis-in-law). We had so much fun and Zoe was beside herself because we let her stay up WAY past her bed time 4 nights in a row.

Here is Zoe on my Aunt Lisa's trampoline (at our first stop in Cameron). She thought it was so fun--like a big bouncy bed. She always takes her right shoe off, no matter what shoe it is. We're thinking her right foot might be a little bigger than her left (typical for RSS kids to be asymmetrical--also normal for non-RSS people to have one larger foot--but still). But it doesn't look like it. Maybe I'll measure it to be sure. Anyways, she's almost always holding her right shoe.

Zoe and me on the trampoline.

Zoe and Eddy (my mom's husband) playing with toys on the floor.

In The Woodlands. Zoe and Jen after dinner at Los Cucos.

After dinner at Los Cucos on Thursday we went to the annual Houston Symphony 4th of July concert at The Woodlands Pavilion. Zoe had a great time. She people watched, danced and clapped to the music, played with her toys, ate lots of snacks, and got really giddy when it got really late.

This is a video of Mike and Zoe goofing around at the concert. I don't know why there isn't any sound.

Mike, Melanie, and Zoe at the fireworks show on the 4th of July in The Woodlands. Adam and Jen found the BEST spot to watch the fire works. We were literally right under them. It was like a 3-D show and it was SO loud. Awesome. Zoe cried when they first started but then she found her bunny and was happy. She really liked the show.

The next night we went over to Adam and Jen's for dinner.

After church on Sunday we went over to see Mike's grandma (89 years old!) for pictures. She just recently moved to The Woodlands from Arizona. We're so excited to spend more time with her!

After visiting with Grandma Key we went to the park!

Whoo, this thing is kinda cool!

Peek-a-boo!

Does she know how to tap dance already?

  3. I love all the pictures! We had so much fun hanging out with yall for the 4th. I can't wait 'til next time we see you b/c I'm sure that Zoe will be roaming around on her own!

By the way-Adam and I actually did sleep on that trampoline the first time we ever went to Cameron together because it was the big Ferguson reunion and there were over 50 people there.
