Updates!

Mike told me that I should make a blog post titled "I don't like to blog anymore". In truth, I just haven't felt like blogging lately. So I took a break from it. But I'm back and ready to hit the ground running again!

Zoe is doing great. She is such an angel. Well, sometimes she's more of a drama queen but what can you expect from an almost two year old. That's right...almost 2!. She'll be 21 months old in a couple of weeks. Crazy!

Zoe is eating SO good these days. Sometimes for breakfast she eats two scrambled eggs with milk and cheese added for extra calories. Awesome! I still add heavy cream and whipped cream to her milk which (I think) makes her want to drink it more and also adds lots of calories. Zoe will pretty much eat anything I put in front of her. At dinner time she'll usually scarf down the vegetables first and then kind of pick at the meat or whatever else I give her. It's really great. Her favorite foods though are fruits, especially berries. She seriously eats about 1 carton of blueberries a day. And she would eat more if I let her. She often has a blue mouth...I should get a picture of that. I love that she loves all the healthy foods! I just really hope that all this eating is doing something to help her height. She has a height/weight check coming up in a couple of weeks so our fingers are crossed until then. When she turns 2 we'll start really discussing whether or not to do Growth Hormone Therapy with her doctor.

Besides eating all day long, Zoe's days are kept busy with lots of play dates, trips to the park, story time at the library, her first non-cousin birthday party, and visits from Grandma!

Here are some recent videos and pictures:

This video is so funny. Zoe is SO cheering herself on. What you see her doing is first pointing to a letter on the computer screen, then she says the letter, then she pushes the corresponding letter on the keyboard. Then she throws her arms in the air and yells "Yay!" when she gets it right. It's so cute.

The other night Mike was reading bedtime stories to Zoe. In the middle of the book Zoe took the book from Mike, slid off his lap and sat on the couch then started reading the book herself. Oh my cuteness!

This is another book that Zoe is reading to Mike. But she's getting annoyed with his side comments. This is the DRAMA QUEEN side of Zoe.

This picture was taken right after Zoe woke up from a nap. I guess you can't really tell in the picture but her hair was all sweaty and nappy (gross, I know!) and it was sticking straight up on the top. But when I was about to snap the picture she threw her head up and the hair in the back laid down. Oh well. Just look how happy she is after her nap though!

This was Zoe riding her bike on a REALLY cold day last week while my mom was here. By the way, my mom made that hat for Zoe while she was here. She's a master hat maker and they are the BEST, warmest, most comfy hats.

Zoe showing off the zebra towel that her Aunt Rachel MADE for her. Isn't it great?!?!?!

I have no idea what the purpose of taking this picture was. But I do love the 'food all over the mouth' look. So yummy!

  3. Welcome back to the blogging world! :) Serioulsy, Zoe eats ways more than Wes does. That's so awesome. Now how do I get Wes to eat stuff? Let alone, vegetables!

  4. I wish I could go on Zoe's diet. Adding cream to my milk? I bet that is whole milk, not the opaque bluish white skim milk we drink. She is getting to be such a big girl. I love the videos of her letter game and reading. The "reading" is a really good prereading skill that most kindergarten teachers would love to see. Do you hear the inflection in her voice? She already recognizes that a story is dynamic and should be read with feeling. Good job Mom and Dad!
