She doesn't have a fever. She's not pulling on her ears or giving us indication of a specific problem.
So yesterday I took her in to the doctor to see if she could see anything wrong with Zoe's ears, throat, teeth, whatever.
Everything checked out. And the doctor's response was, "I think Zoe is entering the terrible twos".
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
My response, "Can I get a prescription for this?"
Really though, I'm glad she's not sick. And now that I look at it from the new perspective I can see it all. She's becoming more independent. I think most of her fussiness is just frustration because she knows what she wants but can't communicate it properly yet. And I think she's having new thoughts and feelings that are confusing to her and that's what is also causing more fussiness and also the cuddles. Poor thing! Though I can't say I mind the cuddles at all.
Here are two of my favorite recent videos:
Chatting on the phone with Grandma
Hanging out in the car
This is a girl with a lot to say! My kids terrible twos were a lot more terrible, as in tantrums and destruction of property. You are lucky. By the way, glad you went to another movie. Coraline was a good movie.

ReplyDeleteI am so glad she is not sick!!! That video of her talking on the phone is TOO cute!! Looking forward to Monday...
ReplyDeleteIf you do find a perscription for the terrible twos, I would love to get in on that. Oh, and for the terrible 3s and 5s! :)
ReplyDelete...or the terrible 30's. ;)
ReplyDeletewhere's all the snow and scarves and winter coats in that video from the car? i miss the sun. :(
Short sleeved t-shirts outside? I can't even imagine! :)
ReplyDeleteIt is interesting to see the changes they go through, huh? We've gotten more of the cuddly kid going on here too, but like you said, it's hard to complain! It's nice to get some of the love.
I hate bringing my girls to the doctor. I pay my $30 co-pay just to find out that there is nothing wrong or nothing I can do. Once Payton turned blue because she couldn't breath. I rushed her into the doctor just for the doctor to say, "Oh, is this your first child?" I wanted to yell, "no, she is not. What should I have done she was blue!!"
ReplyDeleteI am so glad that Zoe is not sick. Good luck with the terrible twos, they go by fast.
