Zoe had a great visit at the Endocrinologist yesterday. She weighs 20lbs 1oz, is 29.84" tall, and her head circumference is 19.5cm. The doctor is very pleased with how well Zoe is growing (it could be better, of course!)...she gained 3 p0unds since the last time we saw this doctor back in August. That's pretty cool. The Endocrinologist is the doctor who is managing Zoe's height and will be the one to manage Growth Hormone Therapy if we decide to go that route. But the doctor said that we don't need to feel rushed to get it started because Zoe is continuing to grow so well. So we'll just keep doing what we're doing and will visit the Endocrinologist again in August.

Zoe peed in her potty chair yesterday for the first time! I was changing her diaper and noticed a little wetness happening so I picked her up and rushed her to the bathroom. I explained what she was supposed to do and sure enough when she stood up a few minutes later there was pee in the chair. Yay!
I really don't think she understood what was going on but she did get some Jr. Mints out of it. :) I think I probably could have gone all out with this and officially started to potty train her but I'm not quite ready for it. We have the potty chair, we have the Elmo & Zoe panties, but I'm not mentally ready for having to take Zoe into public bathrooms yet. I won't use them myself and it makes me sick to my stomach to think of Zoe using them and me having to be in there with her. Is this bad? I guess if she's ready I should just go with the flow...

Sometimes Zoe wants to read her bed time stories in the closet under the stairs.
Mike and Zoe playing around.
The public toilet is inevitable, either now or later. Most kids just have a facination with the bathroom when they figure it out. Or else they are marking new territory.
ReplyDeleteI like the picture of the two of them in the closet. That's really cute.
ReplyDeleteYay Zoe!!! I still squat in public restrooms! ;o)...and...I.LOVE.JUNIOR.MINTS.
ReplyDeleteboth of you should go with the flow.
ReplyDeleteI want a little closet under the stairs to read in!!! That is adorable.
ReplyDeleteWe still have issues with the public potty. I stand in front of G or K and they sit and hold my legs for balance. We do not touch the yucky public potty. It may scar them but oh well... I do cringe when they ask if they can touch so and so's potty in front of them. Good luck.
