We closed on the house Wednesday! It was pretty exciting but was a little anti-climatic because we didn't get the keys and still can't start moving in until Monday. But still...it's OUR house! Yay!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
After the closing I left Mike and Zoe at home so I could go get my hair done. Sweet. I love getting my hair done. When I got home from that I sat down at my computer and noticed this sitting on the table charging:
It's the Garmin Forerunner 305. What?!?! I was (am) beside myself with excitement. As I was exclaiming in a most excited way, "What's this?!" I looked over at Mike and he was just sitting on the couch with a sheepish, sly smile on his face. He said he wanted me to have it for the rest of my training runs and for my marathon. And McKinney has some really great running trails and he didn't want me to have to spend so much time mapping out my runs before I go. Yay!
I told Mike a few months ago that I really wanted this watch (Scott uses the 205 and raves about it so that's what got me interested in it). We decided that I would get this watch after I run a marathon as my reward. So I quickly signed up for a marathon (November 15th, RocknRoll San Antonio). :) Then about a week ago, after conferring with my friend, Natalie, I decided that I wanted the 305 (it's what she uses and it has a heart rate monitor and she loves it). Anyways, so I put this watch in my 'wish list' at Amazon.com and apparently Mike ordered it for me that same day. Isn't he so awesome?!?!
I took it out for a run today and it was so much fun!
Zoe has been asking me for a purple umbrella. I hadn't been able to find one though so I mentioned it to my mom one day and sure enough, she did her grandma magic and found Zoe a purple butterfly umbrella. She LOVES it.
One of the drawers from the dresser I'm painting (I'm almost finished with it...pictures to come). Zoe kept trying to take a nap in it but that didn't work out.
I love thoughtful husbands. Purple umbrellas are pretty cool too.
ReplyDeleteZoe, I'm so glad I'm your grandma. You are adorable.
ReplyDeleteI'm excited to hear how you like it on your test runs!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great hubby you have! Congrats on closing on your house. good luck with the move this week. Seriously, call me if you need me to watch Zoe one night.
