Zoe got her very first hair cut today! Yes, I said "very first". Mike and I both really love her long hair and up until recently we hadn't even thought about cutting it. But lately her hair has become really hard to do anything with. It was just too long. And the ends were starting to look a little scraggly. So I made an appointment with my friend, Becca (she's cuts my hair too), to cut Zoe's hair. When I told Mike about it he just about had a heart attack. He did NOT want me to cut her hair. He was so afraid I was going to have it cut really short. But, alas, I like long hair too. So here are a few pictures to document the experience.
Here are some 'before' pictures:
Getting Zoe prepped!
There were a few tears.
Here is the first cut!
She looks kind of miserable, doesn't she?
Her friends, Kailee and Allie, just showed up. She's trying to see them without moving.
Being patient (kind of) but REALLY wanting to be done.
And she survived it!
Good-bye hair!
It's not that much shorter...just healthier looking.
Whew.
Ta-da!
Awww, that face is soo sad!! She has such beautiful hair! I can't believe this was her FIRST hair cut! Yay Zoe and Yay Mommy for surviving it! Did Mike survive? ;)
