We are having tons of fun and are loving life right now. Remember when Zoe used to be so quiet and shy? Not anymore! She is outgoing, playful, and the sweetest girl I know. :) Seriously though, she sits in the grocery cart at the store waving and saying, "Hi" to everybody that she sees...even when she sees somebody 50 feet away (then she yells, "Hi").
She really is a good girl. She is very obedient and on the rare occasion that she needs to go to time out or needs to get in trouble, she is VERY upset. She does NOT like to be in trouble or to have done anything wrong. It's very sweet...and I consider myself very lucky.
We started Zoe's birthday with her very favorite breakfast: donuts!
Zoe had the best birthday ever because we went to the Dallas Zoo! It was for a school field trip that just happened to fall on her birthday. Totally lucky girl! And it was so much fun! I'll post pictures of the zoo in the next post...
For her birthday dinner, we had pizza (another Zoe favorite)!
Cheese! Okay, side comment...Zoe lost her shorts sometime between getting home from the zoo and eating dinner. My best guess is that they were sitting on the bathroom floor having been taken off in an effort to get onto the toilet by herself (which she insists on doing because she's a big girl now...I feel like I should explain that we have those taller than average toilets. That combined with Zoe's short-ish stature makes it difficult for her to get up). Anyways, now I need to explain why my four year old who is potty trained is wearing a pull-up. She had been having a few accidents in the days leading up to her birthday and I didn't want to worry about that at the zoo so I totally put her in a pull-up for the zoo. So there. No judging!
Opening presents!
Already mastering her 'learn to draw' book.
Look at the cake that I slaved all day on. Just kidding! It's totally a Wal-Mart cake and it was REALLY REALLY good!
"If I'm smiling then maybe you won't notice that I'm going in for another bite while you're trying to take my picture, Dad".
Sugar rush!
Zoe, how old are you?
The next day. Zoe is such a girly girl now. She loves to wear dresses. Here, she's sporting a new birthday dress from Grandpa Alan and Janie.
Zoe, look how tall you are getting! What a beautiful girl you are. I love you!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe she's 4!! She is so beautiful. I'm jealous that she never has to go to timeout. I've considered moving Lucy's bed there she's there so much. :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Zoe!!!! I love the birthday dress at the end. And the shoes. And I want donuts and pizza now. :)
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to Zoe! It looks like you made the day fabulous for her!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Zoe!
