Birthday Party and the Yellow Balloon

Zoe went to her first birthday party yesterday. Happy Birthday, Brooke! The party was a blast (both for the parents and the kids) with kids running around and lots of yummy snacks. It was interesting to see how Zoe reacted to all the commotion. She was really quiet and just kind of kept to herself when all the other kids were around. But when Mike and I had her off to the side by ourselves (we were feeding her) she was her normal self--loud and silly. So maybe she's going to be shy. Who knows.

When we left the party Zoe got to take a yellow balloon home with her. Let me just tell you, this girl LOVES the balloon.

Above is a picture of Zoe holding tight to the balloon right before leaving the party.

Above is a picture of Zoe holding tight to the balloon in the car on the ride home. You may notice that she has on a different outfit than the one at the party. We stopped by the store on the way home and Zoe threw up all over her shirt and blanket. Poor thing. We think it's because she ate an entire 6oz. jar of strawberries & bananas baby food while at the party (that's a lot for Zoe) and her stomach just couldn't handle it. It's a good thing I thought to throw that extra outfit in her bag right before we left for the party!

Above is a video of Zoe right after her nighttime bath. She just wouldn't play with anything else except the balloon the entire day. You get a bonus with this video: Mike singing and dancing.
