MRI

Just a quick update to let you know that Zoe is having her MRI this Thursday. Here's the scoop:

She can't eat anything except water or juice after 7:00am and nothing at all starting at 11:00am.
We have to arrive at 11:00am (it's at the Plano campus of the Children's Medical Center).
From 11:00-1:00 we will check-in, do paperwork, get everything set up, and get Zoe sedated.
The MRI starts at 1:00pm and will last about an hour.
Then we have to wait for Zoe to wake up (this probably won't take too long...I'll tickle her or something) and then we can go home and she can eat.
Test results will take a couple of days not including the weekend.

The purpose of the MRI is to take a look at Zoe's pituitary gland (specifically the anterior lobe which produces the growth hormones). This might give us some more answers as to why Zoe isn't growing. We really aren't expecting to see anything out of the ordinary because we really believe she has RSS which is a genetic (chromosome) disorder. But, if we do find something amiss then hey, it's one more step in the right direction.

Any extra prayers this week on Zoe's behalf will be appreciated. This isn't going to be fun for her.

  2. Tickle Zoe for me and tell her Aunt Jeanie is thinking about her!
