1. Have Zoe do a tall kneel at a bench or stair step and play with a toy (strengthens hip and leg muscles).
2. Have Zoe do a half kneel with her right leg up while playing and also use right leg to pull up to standing instead of left leg (she mostly uses her left leg so we're trying to strengthen her right one).
3. Have Zoe do this trunk rotation thing while she's straddling my leg (kind of hard to explain the position but it'll help build her stomach muscles).
4. Work on unsupported standing.
5. Weigh down the laundry basket so she has to use more muscles to push it.
6. Practice walking to a toy that I'm holding then she'll grab the toy and start playing with it instead of just walking into my arms and giving me a hug (which I love by the way!).
That's it. So we'll see if this stuff helps. So far I've only done the heavy laundry basket thing.
Here are some pictures and a video of Zoe and me watching the super scary hurricane that came through Dallas today. Okay, so I know it was really bad for the Houston/Galveston people (as seen on the news and described by my family members who were there). But we didn't get anything except a nice, steady, light rain. We were expecting a lot more.
In this video you can see Zoe waving at a passing car. She waved at ALL the cars that passed.
YAY for physical therapy and its success! Cute pics and video!!
