Yesterday I watched my friend Mubeen's 7 month old son Zayn for a while. This was the first time that Zoe has had a real opportunity to play with somebody who is more than just a couple months younger than her (but he's about the same size as her! ahhh!). She seemed so mature around him. She was gentle and very curious. She tried babbling with him but that just made him cry. It was really sweet and he is such a cutie. The whole babysitting thing was REALLY easy because both Zayn and Zoe slept almost the entire time!
Mubeen has a 3 year old daughter who is giving up (with much prodding from Mubeen) a lot of her old books and toys. And they are giving some of them to Zoe! Two of the big hits are this super cute reindeer chair that Zoe fits into perfectly and a dancing Elmo doll. This is a video of Zoe sitting in the chair and dancing with Elmo yesterday (notice the huge pile of books and toys in the background--thanks Mubeen!):
Later last night I got a video of Zoe walking! She walked back and forth between the couch and ottoman for about 10 minutes. Awesome.
