This past weekend was super fun! We started it on Thursday morning by taking Zoe to a check-up with her Endocrinologist. Okay, so that wasn't the fun part of the weekend but it wasn't bad. She weighs 17 lbs. (less than negative 5th percentile ) and is 28 inches tall (about negative 3rd percentile). I can't remember how big Zoe's head is but it's still in about the 75th percentile. She still has a really big soft spot on the top of her head which is starting to concern the Endocrinologist. She measures it every time we go and this time she said she's going to call our Geneticist to see if she has any ideas about it. I get the impression that the Geneticist understands
RSS better than our Endocrinologist which is a little disconcerting since the Endo. is the one overseeing everything. I think I've mentioned before that there is a doctor in New York City who specializes in RSS and we've put off taking Zoe to see her since she's been healthy besides her size. But we're starting to want to see her as we get closer to the possibility of starting Growth Hormones. The decision to start growth hormones will be decided based on Zoe's height. She is slowly getting closer to being on the chart for her height but she'll need to be in about the positive 3rd percentile around the time she turns 2. I'm not real optimistic that it'll happen but I'll continue to add heavy cream and whipped cream to Zoe's drinks and feeding her lots of everything to see if it'll help.
Okay, now on to the fun stuff. Thursday night we went to the BYU vs. TCU football game in Ft. Worth. BYU did horrible and lost terribly but we still had a great time!
Mike and Zoe. Sad about the score. BYU only made one touchdown. :(
But we had fun anyways!
Emma cheering when we finally made a touchdown!
The game is over. Let's get Zoe to bed! She did awesome during the game. I made sure she took a big nap that afternoon and it worked. The game ended around 10:30 and Zoe was happy the entire time. It was great.
On Friday we headed down to The Woodlands to visit Mike's grandma in her new nursing home.
Here is Zoe in her new forward facing car seat! She's still not technically big enough for it but we were eager for her to be able to face forward. She LOVES it.

After visiting Grandma Key we headed over to the mall Zoe the kids could ride the merry-go-round and we could do some shopping!
Cute pictures! Zoe looks so little in that carseat! But how exciting to be able to see what's going on now! Yay!
ReplyDeleteI love all her "stuff" she's got to keep her cozy in her chair. How long of a trip was she headed on? :)
ReplyDeleteYeah, we took all the toys we could fit into the car to keep her busy. It was a 3 1/2 hour trip from Dallas to The Woodlands.
ReplyDeleteI miss Zo-zo. :(
ReplyDeleteOh man...she looks super small in that carseat. I'm glad she is finally able to see out though! It has to have been so hard for her.
