Too Hot to Handle 15k Race

Two Saturdays ago I ran in the Too Hot to Handle 15K (9.3 miles) with my sister-in-law, Jennifer. It was SO awesome. We both ran our best distance runs ever. Jennifer kicked butt and came in at 1 hour 37 minutes. I came in at 1 hour 45 minutes. Yay!!!

Here are some pictures from that Friday and Saturday while Adam and Jen were here:

Jen brought Zoe this really cool aqua doodle. You put water in the pen and then start coloring and it's magic...the colors get darker. Zoe loves it.

Adam was sitting in Zoe's chair. Zoe was sitting on the arm rest right next to him. They're chums.

Waiting for the race to start.

Jen is in a yellow shirt, black shorts, and a fuel belt kind of to the left of the middle of the picture.

This is now during the race. Jen sprinted forward, turned around and snapped a picture of me, then started running again. It was pretty funny.

View of the lake we were running around.

Another view of the lake. It's really pretty out there (White Rock Lake).

White Rock Lake and the jogging/bike path.

Here I am crossing the finish line. Mike and Adam didn't get a video of Jen coming through because she finished earlier than expected. Jen saw the guys first and went over to get their attention before crossing the line. Kind of funny.

We did it! Arghhhh.

Sweaty hug!

Stretch!

Still stretching.

Me, Zoe, and bunny

Mike, Zoe, and me.

Zoe and me hanging out after the race.

Kiss!

Mooooom! So embarrassing!

I love all the pics of Zoe we got this weekend. Adam and I were saying that she seemed the most warmed up to us in this visit.
