Adventures in Moving

Moving has been exhausting and so much fun! We are LOVING our new house and it already feels like home. Zoe has been doing a great job with the transition for the most part. Her crib is broken and we're waiting for her new bed to come in so she's sleeping in her pack 'n' play. Yep, she still fits in it quite nicely. So she hasn't been sleeping too great at night (even though she fits in the bed it's still not the most comfortable thing). Hopefully we'll have her new big girl bed soon so she'll be able to sleep on a nice, comfy mattress.

We had the BEST helpers while moving. My mom and Mike's entire family helped us move, unpack, clean, and decorate. Thank you everybody!!!

Here are some pictures and videos that I took during the move and also pictures of where we are at with the house. As you're looking at some of these pictures, just remember how much you love me and how cool you think we are, then it won't bother you so much about what you're seeing (i.e. the kitchen, Zoe's bathroom, I didn't even include the master bedroom because I'm afraid some of you might run away screaming).

Moving's a lot better when you're having fun!

And moving's a lot better when you have good help!

"Why did I offer to come help?!"

Forget all this moving stuff. Let's go to dinner! (Waiting for our table)

Stairs. View from the front room. (yep, those are Christmas decorations. Mike's mom brought us a box of her old Christmas stuff and instead of adding the box to our pile of things to do she went ahead and put the decorations up for us. She has the BEST Christmas hand-me-downs. Thanks Lynn!)

The laundry room. It's a REALLY small room. We originally had the washer and dryer side by side but it was too cramped. So Mike, Blake, Jared, and Phil knocked down a shelf with a chain saw, then re-sanded and painted the remnants of the shelf and stacked the washer and dryer for me. Now I have more space! Thanks guys!
