A few people have asked me if we will stop the medicine soon. The answer is no. We won't stop the medicine until Zoe is finished growing...when she's a teenager. If we were to stop giving her the medicine before then, she would stop growing and not reach her full potential in height. So she will continue to get the shot every day for many years. We'll just adjust her daily dosage according to her needs. Her doctor recalculates the dosage every time we go in for a checkup.
Here are Zoe's stats since we've started the medicine:
2/5/10 21lbs 32.8in
5/5/10 22.5lbs 34.1in
8/5/10 23lbs 34.9in
11/4/10 27lbs 36.1in
2/8/11 28lbs 37.3in
So, in a nut shell, Zoe has grown 4 1/2 inches and gained 7 pounds in one year. And she is no longer the obviously smaller kid in her preschool. She looks just like the rest of the kids. Yay! Go Zoe!
Fantastic news!
