First Sick Day From School

Zoe has been super lucky so far and has been able to dodge all of the stomach bugs that have gone around school and church the past few months.

Until today.

And, yep, it's my blog so you get to hear all about it!  Haha!

This morning was Donuts With Dad at school.  So I got Zoe up a little early then sent her out the door with Mike to enjoy breakfast at school.  She complained one time that her tummy hurt.  But she complains about that all the time so I kind of ignored it and told her that it's probably just because she's so tired.  As I was heading upstairs to put my running clothes on I got a phone call from Mike saying that as they were walking into the school Zoe started throwing up all over the sidewalk (poor thing and how embarrassing!).    He said that Zoe was still wanting donuts and to go to school and he didn't know what to do.  I told him to bring her home!  Well, they snuck into the school and got a donut anyways and then he brought her home.

Besides being Donuts With Dad day, today is also her teacher's last day of school.  She is having a baby over spring break (next week) so Zoe was excited to have one more day with her.  Bummer!  We will miss her teacher a lot but have heard great things about the permanent sub so I think we'll be okay.  I hope.
