Camouflage Belt Testing - Taekwondo

Zoe had her test to move up to camouflage belt last night.  This one is a big deal because now she changes classes and is with the big (older) kids!  She also starts sparring in this new class.  We got her a face mask, helmet, mouth guard, shin guards, the whole shebang.  And she is SO EXCITED!

Here is Zoe doing her testing.  The first part is her Form.  Then she does her One Steps #1 and #2.  And then Self Defense.  The hard part about testing to be a Camouflage belt is that you have to be able to do everything by yourself without an instructor guiding you in any way.  Zoe practiced and practiced and practiced at home.  And she did SO GOOD.  We are so proud of her.  She also practiced yelling really loud.  After all the testing was over, the head instructor, Mr. Morrison, pulled Zoe aside and congratulated her on how loud she yelled.  This was a huge improvement for her.  Yay!

Mr. Morrison and Zoe (with her new belt).

    Celebration time!
